We experience the basics of Hatha yoga with a vinyasa style. We will integrate body and mind for total performance while achieving body/mind health. Our classes will incorporate strength, cardiovascular conditioning ,and flexibility components using music to enhance the experience. Gentle Yoga will be self-pacing with modifications offered
We experience the basics of Hatha yoga with a vinyasa style adding and linking poses together to create strength, flexibility, endurance and balance. We will move through “mountains” which will include warm up, work and cool down. Classes always emphasize connection between body and breath and end with restorative relaxation. We let go of judgment and competition while finding fitness and health through poses of strength, endurance and balance.
Restorative yoga is a form of yoga that seeks to achieve physical, mental and emotional relaxation with, at time, the aid of props (provided or bring your own). The use of props makes it easier for you to maintain balance while you are stimulating and relaxing your body. While some restorative yoga poses are beneficial to the entire body, others target specific parts of the body, such as the heart or the lungs.
This Level 1 & 2 class is going to emphasize a different theme each week. Sue will lead you with a practice in traditional Hatha yoga asanas (postures), pranayama (breathwork) and dhyana (meditation). You will be encouraged to translate what happens in the studio into your everyday life.
This gentle class will include renewing and restorative postures to decrease stress and increase relaxation. Class will begin with breath and centering, move through a series of gentle yoga postures, and will conclude with several restorative poses. Students will have a chance to shift from doing to being and leave feeling a deeper connection between body, mind, and spirit.
Marie’s Core Yoga is designed for all and will allow you to tune into your body, find your core, and achieve your inner power. The core power will build the foundation to tap into focus, find physical strength, all while working at your own pace.
Power Flow Yoga
Power flow yoga is a vigorous flowing style of yoga which emphasizes the flow of breath as you build strength, detoxify your body and increase tone and flexibility. All postures can be modified to accommodate all bodies and each student is encouraged to create their own experience.
Finally, a class that fuses together Yoga and Body Barre. We begin with salutations to warm the body and connect with our breath. Mid class, we use permanent and portable bars to feel heat in the legs while building strength & endurance (no dance experience required). We end with pilates core work and yoga stretches, and of course, restorative relaxation.
A fusion of yoga and t'ai chi that promotes mindful strength, flexiblity and balance. Class is cycled in 5 minute segments, back and forth, and fusing both mobility and stability during last portion of class.
